Vukota Govedarica, the current vice president of SDS, will replace party leader Mladen Bosic who resigned after poor results in recent local elections.
The Main Board of the SDS decided today that Govedarica will be the only candidate for the position of party’s president.
The SDS congress will be held on 23 October, when Govedarica will be officially elected as president.
Mladen Bosic resigned on 8 October after SDS recorded poor results and lost power in many municipalities. .
