Swedish Kavat to open another production facility in BiH

Swedish company Kavat is expanding production in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and will soon, besides in Travnik, have manufacturing facilities in Novi Travnik.

The company with 60-year tradition in the production of footwear for children and young people is planning a multimillion investment in the industrial zone Neobarje in Novi Travnik, and employment of about 150 workers, the municipality of Novi Travnik confirmed for local media.

As the Department of Planning in the municipality said, the production of world-renowned brand of children's shoes is certain and construction of the hall will start in March 2017.

About 98% of Kavat shoes produced in BiH goes to foreign markets, i.e. Scandinavia, and one part goes to Germany and Austria. The municipality of Novi Travnik says the slight percentage would be placed on the domestic market.

The company Kavat entered BiH market in 2009 by opening factory in Travnik, which today has more than 140 employees.
