Stari Grad Municipality is the first in the Sarajevo Canton to take advantage of the Law on Public-private partnership for infrastructure development.

As reported, today's session of the Council of the Municipality decided to build an underground garage, across the Town Hall, in Avdage Sahinagica Street.

This is an investment worth more than six million KM.

Irfan Cengic, SDP BiH’s representative and co-chair of the Council of Stari Grad, said that, in accordance with the decision on the construction of the garage through a public-private partnership, private investors will build a garage that will be of service to citizens but will remain the property of the Municipality.

– In addition, the Municipality will also generate additional revenues, which will be invested in the further development of infrastructure. Both the private investor and the Municipality will profit, but citizens will profit the most as they really need parking space in this area – said Cengic.
