Republika Srpska Finance Minister Zoran Tegeltija has said that the Republika Srpska Government has adopted a proposed budget for next year in the amount of KM 3.2 billion and the proposed economic reforms from 2017 to 2019.
Tegeltija has said that by adopting these documents, the Government has fulfilled its obligation that pertained to the arrangement with the IMF.
“The Republika Srpska Socio-Economic Council has a positive attitude towards the proposed economic reforms while the Republika Srpska Federation of Labour did not support the proposed budget for next year because of a 0.3% increase in wages in keeping with the length of employment,” Tegeltija told a press conference in Banjaluka.
The Republika Srpska Government last night held a special session and in addition to these two proposals, it adopted in urgent procedure a proposed bill on execution of the Republika Srpska budget for 2017, a proposed bill on Republika Srpska banks, a proposed bill amending and supplementing the law on profit, a proposed bill amending and supplementing the law on the Republika Srpska Banking Agency and a proposed bill on the cessation of the law on a special solidarity contribution.
A proposed bill on Republika Srpska long-term borrowing in 2017, a proposed bill on Republika Srpska short-term borrowing through the emission of treasury notes in 2017 and a draft bill on the Republika Srpska tax system were also adopted at the session. /end/sg
