Head of the Croat Caucus in the Council of Peoples of Republika Srpska, Tomislav Tomljanovic, stated today in Banjaluka that there is no violation of the vital national interests over the decision to call a referendum on Republika Srpska Day.
“We have not challenged this issue, because it is constitutional right for citizens to declare their opinion in a referendum on issues they believe they are important,” Tomljanovic told the reporters, after the meeting of the Croat Caucus.
Commenting the BiH census, Tomljanovic said that this is a technical issue which will be verified when the Eurostat accepts the results.
The Croat Caucus has reviewed the documents adopted by the National Assembly of Republika Srpska at the 18th and 19th special sessions, and at the 13th regular session.
The Republika Srpska National Assembly passed a decision to call a referendum on Republika Srpska Day on September 25 and appoint the Commission for its implementation at 19th special session, which was held on July 15.
At the 18th special session of the Assembly, the MPs urgently adopted the Law on processing and publication of the results of the 2013 census of population, households and dwellings in Republika Srpska.
