Serbia's Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said tonight that Sanjin Sefic, who killed two girls in a car accident in Sarajevo last night, “is under control of Serbian police”.
Stefanovic added that Sefic will be prosecuted in accordance with international regulations.
He stated that Sefic could not be formally arrested, since Bosnian institutions have not released international warrant for him yet.
“We will be in contact with colleagues from Bosnia and Herzegovina to complete the extradition process as quickly as possible”, Stefanovnic said.
Sefic killed two students last night driving through the red light. He fled the scene, and in the early morning crossed the border end entered Serbia.
