Malta-based KBC Euro Credit Capital takes over govt stake in Bosnalijek

Malta-based financial services provider KBC Euro Credit Capital is the new owner of a 19.3% state stake in Bosnian drug maker Bosnalijek, which was auctioned off last week for 23.4 million KM (12 million Euros) via the Sarajevo bourse, data from the securities commission of Bosnia's entity shows.

The securities commission of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has replaced the entity's government as a stake holder in Bosnalijek with KBC Euro Credit Capital.

The Malta company is now the second largest shareholder in the Bosnian drug maker, following Luxembourg-based company Haden with a 29.9% stake.

Last week, KBC Euro Credit Capital offered 15.51 KM per share for a total of 1,507,724 shares in Bosnalijek, above the 14.73 KM asking price.
