Dubai-based investment firm Almman International Investments Ltd. said on Tuesday it is partnering with a Kuwaiti company in a project for the construction of a waterfront resort in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Almman Waterfront Ukrina resort will be located in the municipality of Miskovci, near the city of Derventa, and will spread on an area of 40 acres, the company said in a statement sent to SeeNews.
The resort will offer 420 luxurious apartments, 80 residences, restaurants, a beach club, a spa and fitness center, and a water park.
“Such investments are of high importance for this region of Bosnia and Herzegovina and will enhance the location value”, the company said. “The quality and scope of this project will strengthen Derventa's position as an investment destination and attract investors from around the world”.
The value of the works was not disclosed.
Almman International Investments Ltd. noted that it plans to launch the project at end-2017 when it will, in cooperation with Kuwaiti investors, complete the purchase of Ukrina riverfront properties in the municipality of Miskovci.
At build-out, the resort will have an estimated $200 million (188.2 million euro) economic impact annually for Derventa and Republika Srpska entity and will be the region’s largest employer supporting 2,000 permanent jobs, SeeNews reports.
