The owner of the Italian company Calzedonia is interested in construction of production plant in Bosnian city of Prijedor. It should employ 800 to 1,000 workers, according to the announcement.
The company is supposed to arrive in Prijedor on March 20.
The Calzedonia’s interest in investing in Prijedor was confirmed by city mayor Milenko Djakovic, who told TV Prijedor that this production facility, covering more than 25,000 square meters, should be built in the area behind the Airport settlement, on the old road to Banja Luka.
This textile giant employs 33,000 workers worldwide. It is engaged in the production of stockings, underwear, sweaters and jackets, and intends to invest around 25 million Euros in production facilities in Prijedor.
