Croatian company INA and Hungarian MOL have signed an agreement on acquisition of shares of Energopetrol. INA took over 33.5 percent stake of the Bosnian oil company from MOL.
With this transaction, INA has increased its stake in Energopetrol to 67 percent, and became the majority shareholder of the company whose financial results will be incorporated into the results of the INA Group.
“With the acquisition of Energopetrol, INA further positioned itself in the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and confirmed that it believes in the long-term perspective of Energopetrol and the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina. INA this way becomes the single largest distributor of oil products in the country, with a total of 101 active gas station in the retail network,” the statement from INA reads.
