Bosna Sema educational institutions, which have been operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 1998, will donate all the assets, estimated at over 120 million KM (60 million Euros), to the Islamic Community in BiH, local media report.
Bosna Sema is a group of educational institutions with alleged links to the US-based Islamic preacher Fethullah Gulen, accused by Ankara of masterminding last month’s attempted coup.
Within Bosna Sema, there are several kindergartens, primary and secondary schools in Bosnian cities of Sarajevo, Tuzla, Zenica and Bihac. Burch University is also part of the Bosna Sema.
Owners of Bosna Sema, who are Bosnian citizens, will endow the entire property, or give it to the Waqf (Endowments) Directorate of the Islamic Community in BiH, which will become its owner and manager.
The final decision on accepting the endowment should be made at the next session of the Riyasat of Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Unofficially, the officials of the Islamic Community in BiH have already started screening “paperwork” of the Bosna Sema.
The information has not been officially confirmed yet, but it appears to be true since several media reported it and no one denied it.
Bosna Sema has been under strong pressure since the coup attempt in Turkey, because it is accused of having links with Gulen.
Turkish Ambassador to BiH repeated several times that there are Gulen followers in Bosnia.
Bosnian authorities have never explicitly said what action they will undertake against so called Gulenists.
