The largest retail chain in Europe, the German Lidl, considers possibilities to enter the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina. One of the evidence is that the German company has already purchased a national Internet domain in BiH – www.lidl.ba, BiznisInfo.ba reports.

Media have been speculating for years on Lidl's intentions to enter Bosnian market.

The fact that it bought a national Internet domain in BiH itself is not proof that it will soon open shops in our country, but it is a clear indication of at least two things.

Firstly, that Lidl closely follows situation in our country, and secondly that they are planning to run certain business activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, sooner or later.lidl-domena

They still haven't created any Web site, and the domain lidl.ba is redirected to Lidl's international domain www.lidl-info.com.

Internet domain names are usually purchased in advance before company officially announces its decision to enter a new market, in order to avoid the possibility that someone else buys a domain with the name of the company and later blackmails it and tries to sell it at much higher price.

Lidl has recently started business in Serbia, where construction of its stores across the country is underway.
