The number of foreign tourists, who visited Bosnia in the first seven months of 2016, grew 13.8% on the year to 425,749, data from the country's statistics office showed.
The total number of tourists staying in the country in 2016 through July increased by 10.9% year on year to 634,612, the statistics office said in a statement late on Friday.
Total tourist overnights in January-July totalled 1,306,148, up 10.4% year-on-year. Out of them, foreign tourist overnights accounted for 68.3%, or 892,255, up 15.4% on the year.
Visitors from Croatia accounted for 12.2% of foreign overnights in the first seven months, followed by visitors from Turkey with a 10.3% share, and from Serbia with 9.4%.
In July alone, tourist arrivals jumped 23.8% on the year and by 22.7% on the month to 128,474, while overnights surged 24.4% year-on-year and 39.5% on the month to 289,133.
Foreign tourists accounted for 76.8% of all overnights recorded in Bosnia in July.
