Bosnia's public debt 11.9 billion KM

The total public debt of Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 30 was about 11.9 billion KM, which is by 19.55 million KM less compared to the same period last year, according to information by the Ministry of Finance and Treasury, which was adopted by the BiH Council of Ministers.

The Council of Ministers said that public debt amounts to 39.4 percent of the GDP, which means it is lowest of all countries in the region and Europe.

The debt of Federation of BiH accounts to 54.76 percent of the total debt, while debt of Republika Srpska accounts to 44.57 percent. The remaining part is debt of Brcko District (0.21 percent), and institutions at the state level (0.46 percent).

External debt of BiH amounts to about 8.36 billion KM and declined by 51.06 million compared to June 30 last year.

The internal debt of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 30 June amounted to about 3.56 billion KM, which is by 0.89 percent more than in the same period last year.
