Bosnia's Federation has invited expressions of interest for consulting services for supervision of construction works on motorway section Buna – Pocitelj on the pan-European Corridor Vc, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said on Tuesday.
This is the second invite from the Federation in the past two days for expressions of interest in providing consulting services for supervision of construction works on sections of Corridor Vc, which is intended to connect the port of Ploce in Croatia with Budapest in Hungary via Bosnia and Herzegovina. On Monday, the EBRD said consulting services are being sought for the section Zenica tunnel – Donja Gracanica.
The Federation intends to use a part of the proceeds of a loan procured from the EBRD towards the cost of civil works and consulting services on the section of the motorway from Buna to Pocitelj, the lender said in a statement.
The state-owned motorway company JP Autoceste FBiH, on behalf of the beneficiary, intends short listing consulting firms to supervise the design and civil works contracts on the section, the EBRD noted.
The contract is expected to start on May 20 and last about 24 months.
The deadline for the submission of bids is February 7.
In November, the Federation signed an 80 million euro ($82.9 million) loan deal with the EBRD for the construction of new subsections on the pan-European transport Corridor Vc, including the Buna – Pocitelj section.
