Bosnia's arms, military equipment exports jump 25% in 2016

Bosnia and Herzegovina exported arms and military equipment worth 305.5 million euro last year, up 25% compared with 2015, local media reported.

In 2016, 228 permits were granted for the export of arms, military equipment and dual-use products from Bosnia and Herzegovina, news broadcaster N1 reported.

Exporters who excelled in sales last year are mainly enterprises from the military industry of Bosnia's Federation. These include arms and ammunition maker UNIS Ginex, peers Igman, Pobjeda Technology Gorazde, Pretis, BNT Tvornica masina i hidraulike and BINAS.

Four requests for permits for the export of arms, military equipment and dual-use products were rejected last year.
